Sydney Sweeney hosted Saturday Night Live this past week, she was good. Early reviews claimed too much emphasis was placed on her breasts. This is accurate. The Hooters sketch was particularly gratuitous given SNL’s history of subverting such worn out plot tropes (see Chris Farley and Patrick Swayze, Chippendales). If Sweeney’s waitress character had been depicted as the underachiever it would have been much funnier. All that aside, I’ve included a sketch featuring Sweeney and Chloe Fineman as police interns. It’s a striking generation contrast about the use of social media. And pretty funny.
